Most visitors come to Thailand for its stunning beaches and islands.

But besides the picturesque coastlines of the country, Thailand also has several other activities that are popular.

Golf is one sport that is certainly growing in popularity, pumping an income of 8 billion baht annually into the local economy. The country has been dubbed "The Golf Capital of Asia".

Outdoor sports are aplenty in tropical Thailand with many outlets for rock climbing, snorkeling and trekking.

Spas have also long been on the must-visit list for any traveller heading to The Land of a Thousand Smiles.

Thailand is also known for medical treatments at very low rates. Treatments ranging from cosmetics, transplant, orthopedic and surgical are available at much cheaper prices than in the US or Europe.
