Blu Jaz Café is a highly popular, three-storey restaurant-cum-bar on Bali Lane. It offers alfresco dining on the ground level but bar counters are available on all three levels. Most patrons dine on the ground level before proceeding upstairs for drinks as the second and third levels are air-conditioned chill-out lounges. The second and third levels carry an intimate and cozy setting whilst the atmosphere on the ground level is more vibrant.
Blu Jaz Cafe also provides live music entertainment. Live Jazz music is played on the ground level while live pop-rock music goes on the third level. Local bands are mostly featured here and live music is available mainly on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Shisha is also offered here.
A mix of locals, tourists, and foreign expatriates patronise Blu Jaz Cafe. It gets very crowded in the evenings, especially on weekends so make a reservation before coming down.
Blu Jaz Cafe serves a wide variety of food. There is local cuisine such as Chicken Curry, Seafood Mee Goreng (fried yellow noodles with seafood), and Sambal Seafood Fried Rice (rice fried with seafood and chillies). International offerings such as Fish and Chips, NZ Ribeye Steaks, Pastas, and Beef Lasagnsa are also served.
Blu Jaz Cafe also serves alcoholic drinks from wines to beers and cocktails to liquors. A glass of wine costs around S$9.50 while a Heineken Half Pint costs S$6. Most cocktails cost S$13 while shots cost about S$10. With wallet-friendly prices and friendly service, Blu Jaz Cafe an attractive chill-out joint for all.
